Sugna
(Vibha Anand) and Pratap (Jehangir Vakil)
have become the toast of the nation. The
tragic events in Balika
Vadhu have left the nation
mourning. Viewers of the show now want to
hear from these young stars as to what really
triggered this chain of events.
At
a time when all and sundry seek answers,
it’s surprising to learn that the channel
has barred the two from talking to the media.
As strange as it may sound, but it’s true.
This was a perfect opportunity for the Vibha
and Jehangir to grab headlines but it looks
like the duo won’t be able to cash on it.
So, what is it that has made the channel
take this step?
“Sugna is in deep shock still trying to
come to grips with Pratap’s death. How do
you expect her to talk when her groom has
passed away?” a channel spokesman remarked
sarcastically.
We tried to get in touch with the actors
through Sphere Origins (production house)
but without any result. “The channel has
given us strict instructions that these
actors cannot speak to the media directly.
The questions will have to be mailed. After
the stars give their reply, the channel
will go through the answers and then send
it for publication. Apparently, post the
controversy surrounding use of children
in TV, the channel doesn’t want the kids
to speak directly to the media,’ said a
Sphere Origins publicist.
