For
far too long, it’s been speculated that
Fox Television Studio’s daily Pankh Hote
Toh Ud Jaate has hit a dead end. However,
no one came forward to accept it. The actors
expressed optimism; officials from Sahara
were in denial mode while Fox Televisions’
EVP Deepak Seagal remained unavailable.
However, there’s no more hiding. It’s now
official, Pankh Hote Toh Ud Jaate
has been scrapped.
A
reliable source from Fox informs, “It’s
very unfortunate that Pankh…couldn’t
take off. The TV strike and then the recession
put paid to our plans. Post recession, things
didn’t work between Sahara and us thus we
decided to part ways. There were some murmurs
that we could take the show elsewhere but
that is not true. The show has long been
scrapped.”
Meanwhile lead actress Ankita Srivastav
had this to say, “Everyone wants to hear
some news from me but the fact remains that
I still haven’t got one. Our producers were
kind enough in giving us the go ahead to
look for new avenues and we’ve started to
do that. Beyond this I’ve got nothing to
say.”
Pankh couldn’t enable her to fly
but we hope Ankita find a new destination
soon.
