After
Bollywood director Madhur
Bhandarkar it is now the turn
of yet another
film director who will be doing a series
on Sony. Noted director Vikram Bhatt will
be soon making his small screen debut. And
that too with a story inspired from the
real life of Monica Bedi.
A source informs, “Vikram Bhatt is producing
a reality based thriller for Sony titled
Haddh. It will air every Monday at
10 pm and will launch in the last week of
February. The story is inspired by the real
life story of Monica Bedi. Vikram Bhatt
has written the story and his long time
associate Sanjay Khanna is directing the
series. Vikram Bhatt and Sanjay Khanna were
assisting Shekhar Kapoor for Bandit Queen
and since then the two have been doing many
projects together. Girish Dhamija is writing
the dialogues. He has written dialogues
for many Vishesh films like Gangster,
Yakeen, etc.”
As
everyone knows the Bhatt camp is known to
give opportunities to new talent. This time
too they aren’t doing any different. “Radhika
Menon who has done a film in the South is
playing the protagonist. As for the male
lead, there is no such male lead in the
series. Three male actors playing pivotal
roles are Dilip Thadeshwar who has acted
in Mumbai Salsa, television actor
Amit Tandon and the third actor is not yet
finalised. Murli Sharma is playing a gangster.
Few of the other actors are yet to be finalised.”
Vikram Bhatt said, “I am not allowed to
talk as Sony has told us not to speak anything
on the series.”
Sony Fiction Head Sanjay Upadhyay was unavailable
for comments.
