Lok Sabha elections are due later this year, but political parties have started plotting their strategies. As it happened in the last elections, we saw a plethora of film and TV stars either contesting elections or campaigning for various political parties. Expect nothing different this time as new stars are set to step foot into politics. One name that is evoking interest among the Congress is Bhojpuri and Bollywood star Ravi Kissen.

Media reports say that Kissen has already joined the Congress and will be displacing fellow actor Govinda to contest from the Mumbai North constituency.

Minister of State for Home Kripa Shankar Singh has refuted these reports. He says, “As of yet, these things are not true. But the Congress party will definitely like to have Ravi Kissen in our ranks. We have had a talk with him and are waiting for his response. That’s where we stand and the rest is all untrue.”

Meanwhile, sources close to Ravi Kissen say that the actor may be unable to join politics as he simply doesn’t have time for it.
