DD1 will launch a unique show titled Kaanch Ke Rishte. The concept of the show is unlike the usual TV soaps. It focuses on the life of old age people. It has veteran actors like Rajiv Verma, Surendra Pal and Rupa Divetia playing pivotal roles.

A source informs, “The show is titled as Kaanch Ke Rishte. It will launch on 15th of March on DD1. The story is about a retired journalist and his wife. Rajiv Verma is playing the retired journalist and Rupa Divetia who has acted in shows like Kkusum is playing his wife. The story is written by Nawab Arzoo and the show is produced by Salvia International production house. It is a weekly that will air every Sunday at 9.30 pm.”

Rajiv Verma said, “I am doing this show but I will be in a better position to comment once we start shooting for this show.”

Producer Lalit Arora said, “I am very excited about this show. Earlier we have produced shows for Doordarshan that were shot in Delhi. For the first time we are making a show in Mumbai. So in a way it is a new beginning for our production house.”
