| If
it were in her hands, Saroj Khan wouldn’t mind judging every reality show. However,
the industry now speaks the language of exclusive contracts which put a cap on
people’s ambitions. The
veteran choreographer was approached to join Hema
Malini and Jeetendra in the jury panel of Colors reality show Dancing
Queen but her exclusive contract with Sony, where she’s judging Boogie
Woogie, prevented her from accepting the offer.
Confirming the
news, Saroj
says, “Yes, it is true that I was offered Dancing Queen. However, Sony intervened
at the last minute saying that I have an exclusive contract for their show Boogie
Woogie thus I can’t take any other show. I have already shot 8 episodes for
them. Thus it won’t be possible for me to take up Dancing Queen.”
Adding further she says, “I was very keen to be part of Dancing Queen.
In fact, the money aspect was also discussed. I was coming from Dubai and at the
airport; officials from the production house delivered the bad news to me. While
I may not be able to join the show, I’m hoping that I can be a guest for one episode.”
