After
Kyunki
and Kahaanii
went off air and reports of Kayamath
too ending
sometime in February, the latest from the
Balaji stable is that two more of its shows
Kasturi and Karam
Apnaa Apnaa will down their
shutters. Both Kasturi
Karam… are tipped to go off-air in
March.
A source from the production house informs,
“The two shows are expected to end sometime
in March. It is not an impulsive decision
but has been decided sometime ago. We don’t
know the real reason behind the channel’s
decision. If Kyunki can go off-air
without prior notice, unpredictable things
can happen to other shows as well.”
Another
source from the production house informs,
“The channel has asked Balaji to pull off
Karam and Kasturi by the end
of March. Everyone in the industry is aware
that the equation between the channel and
the production house is not what it used
to be.”
Pallavi
Subhash, who plays the lead in
Karam Apnaa Apnaa says, “I have absolutely
no clue.”
Despite repeated attempts both, Keertan
Adyanthaya, Star Plus’ EVP and G.M, and
Anupama Mondloi, Star Plus’ Senior Creative
Director, remained unavailable for comment.
R. Karthik, CEO, Balaji Telefilms, also
was unavailable.
