For our television producers, death has become a synonym for shock value. Whenever the TRPs dwindle, you often find someone dying in your favourite soap. And Zee TV is nearly making it a habit to have a death in most of their shows. Just few days back, we had reported on Soni (Kanchi Kaul) dying in Maayka. And now it’s the afternoon show Vivaah.

Sanjit Bedi, who plays Rajdeep Malhotra in Vivaah, will die but as it always happens with our soaps, our hero will return.

A reliable source from the production says, “Yes, Rajdeep will die but the creative team has yet to work on this track. It’s only after this that we can go ahead with the shoot. However, Sanjit won’t be quitting our show. He will return probably in a new avatar. That also needs to be worked upon.”

An actor from the show adds, “I too have heard that Sanjit’s character will die. But we haven’t started shooting for it as yet.”

Despite repeated attempts, Sanjit remained unavailable for comment.
