As reported earlier, an epic show Shakuntala is soon to launch on Star One which has Neha Mehta and new comer Gautam playing the lead roles. We now bring you news on the other star cast and the launch date.

A source from the production house informed, “Veteran actor Gyan Prakash will be playing the role of Rishi Kanva. Geeta Tyagi will be playing the role of Gautami didi who is currently acting in Baalika Wadhu. Yogesh Mahajan who is currently acting in Jai Shree Krishna will be playing the role of king Puru. Bhagwan Tiwari, a well known theatre artiste will play the role of Rishi Shatanand.”

The source further informs, “The show will launch on February 2. It is a daily that will air from Monday to Thursday every week. Though the exact time slot is not yet confirmed but it will air on a prime time slot.”

Producer Moti Sagar says, “I can’t yet comment as the official announcement of the show has not yet been made.”
