Balika Vadhu is at a critical junction. Rather it’s Gehna (Neha Marda) who finds herself at the crossroads. The doctors have advised her to abort her baby as going ahead with the pregnancy will put both the baby and mother’s life in jeopardy.

Our Gehna wants to abort but her hubby Basant (Satyajit) isn’t prepared to miss out on another opportunity to be a father. So, what has destiny in store for Gehna?

Speculation is rife that with Neha having signed as a lead for another show (Jo ishq ki marzi woh ishq ki marzi), the girl from Kolkata might opt out of Balika Vadhu. Another aspect that gives credence to these tales is that the shoot of Jo ishq…will take place in Satara. Since Balika is shot in Vasai, it will be struggle for Neha to jump up and down from Vasai to Satara and vice versa..

Neha though has ruled out any possibility of her quitting Balika Vadhu. “Bringing an end to Gehna’s character right now would not be the wisest thing on the part of the creatives. That will totally work against the show. Besides, I’ll be giving fifteen days each for Balika and Jo ishq ki.. There’s no question of quitting Balika Vadhu.”

So, what will happen to Gehna and her child? “Well, both the child and mummy are likely to be safe. We haven’t shot the sequence yet. You will know the exact picture soon” Neha replied.

All’s well that ends well. So, Neha’s fans can heave a sigh of relief.
