Prachi Desai has done it with great success in Rock On. Rajeev Khandelwal has also achieved stardom with Aamir. Now it seems to be the turn of Shweta Agarwal – the plump and sweet girl from Dekho Magar Pyar Se. The actor who played the role of Nikki in the serial is all set to act in Vikram Bhatt's forthcoming film Shaapith. Aditya Narayan is the hero of the film and will be seen opposite Shweta.

Speaking to Tellychakkar, Shweta says that she feels like she is still in a dream. "I still cannot believe that I am going to be a part of this venture. The shooting for the film is scheduled to start in February."

How did she get this role? "It is an interesting story. My manager sent a few snaps of mine to Vikram Bhatt's office and he called me for a meeting. I met him multiple times after that, during which he narrated the story and gave me a brief idea about the film. After our meetings, within a few days I got a call from his office informing me that I was selected!"

Interestingly, Shweta did not even go for any screen test or audition. "This is really like a fairytale. It is so sudden that I have not even informed my friends in the industry. I guess everybody will call me now after seeing it in the media!" Shaapith is a supernatural thriller. Shweta's favourite Vikram Bhatt movie is Ghulaam though she thinks all his movies are good. "You can realise the passion he has for films while watching his movies!" concludes Shweta.
