Ekta’s big shows may have come to halt but her loyalists needn’t look beyond their mentor for work. On 19 January, Ekta is launching two new dailies on NDTV Imagine i.e. Kitani Mohabbat Hai and Bandini.

Hiten Tejwani, Sudha Shivpuri and Ronit Roy have taken refuge in Kitani Mohabbat Hai and Bandini respectively. It’s now the turn of Balaji’s lesser known brigade to join one of these shows. Actors Bharat Chawda (aka Chotu of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki) and Mrunal Jain (Krishna in Kahaani Hamaraay Mahaabhaarat Ki) are set to join the cast of Bandini.

When contacted Bharat said, “Yes, I’m doing this show. My character name is Shashank. Beyond that, I have not been given any brief. We’ll be shooting in Gujarat in a few days time for the initial portion.”

Meanwhile, Mrunal merely stated that he’s has been offered the show but he’s yet to sign on the dotted line.
