After
a big lull 9X may soon be on the road to
recovery. With some fresh content flowing
in the channel may regain some of its lost
viewers. Sunil Agnihotri of Chandrakanta
and Chandramukhi
fame is producing a paranormal show titled
Black. Mamik
who shot to fame as Aamir Khan’s brother
in Jo Jeeta Woh Sikandar and also
played the lead in Chandramukhi,
will play the lead role in Black.
Talking
about the show, a source informs, “Black
is a paranormal show which is about people
who possess paranormal powers like power
to ignite fire, move objects and have a
powerful sixth sense. It is closer to X-files
and will air different episodes every-time.
Mamik and newcomer Aliya Shah who play the
leads in the show will investigate such
cases and will try to find out ways to curb
the disadvantages attached to such powers.
This is a prime-time show and will launch
in January.”
We tried contacting producer Sunil Agnihotri
but he remained unavailable for comment.
CEO and Founder, INX Media Indrani Mukherjee
remained unavailable for comment.
