God is a female – Aashish Kaul

There are times in all our lives, when we desire the need for divine intervention; times, when life refuses to acknowledge the seemingly obvious and decides to take refuge in a world that is far away from ours. A world that gives the body and mind the spiritual healing that it yearns for. We, at Telly Chakkar.com decided to delve deeper into the lives of our favourite stars and know a little about their lives beyond the obvious.

Define God?

I am sure that God is a female because of the mystery revolving around this supernatural power. Females are strange and mysterious and so is God. On a serious note, God is that supreme power who guides all of us but it is us who choose the path that we follow. The ones who follow the path of truth are God-fearing and the others who just choose to ignore His sayings and preaching are the ones who fail in the longer run. We often feel that people who always follow the path of truth bear miseries and pain but this is untrue as they are God’s special children who carry His messages across the world.

What is spirituality to you?

For me spirituality is that one hour of praying in the morning. It is during this time that I feel closest to God. I can tell him anything that I want to. This is the time when I bare it all to God be it good or bad. It gives me a sense of relief.

What special bond/connection do you feel with God and your inner-self?

I think my bond with Him is very sacred. He knows all my secrets and listens to all my problems. He knows me inside-out. This is a bond which never gets severed not atleast from God’s side, no matter how much I forget him during my happy days.

How much do you believe in the magic and power of prayers?

I completely believe in the magic of prayers. When certain prayers go unanswered then it means that you deserve better than what you have asked for.

Who do you credit for your ability to overcome the hurdles, if any?

I obviously would credit God for my ability to overcome problems but along with that I must admit that my experience has taught me many lessons. The way I have dealt with the problems in the past teach me how to encounter the problems that I face today or may face in the future.

What kind of books do you read? Especially to get connected to God and your spiritual side?

I like to read philosophical books and I especially like Eric Segal. I don’t think books teach you much about God. Its your experience and meeting the right kind of people and absorbing the right kind of information that brings you closer to your spiritual side.

What do you do on a daily basis to remain connected to God and your inner-self?

I pray to Him daily though I would hate to admit that I do it at my convinience.

Astrology, numerology and tarot reading? Have you taken help of such occult sciences?

I am a tarot reader myself. This implies that I do believe in these occult sciences

Do you fast?

I used to fast every Monday till 2004 but I have taken to sickness and acidity and hence I stopped observing fasts.

Follow rituals?

Though not a hardcore ritual follower but I do follow whatever is required.

What is your comfort zone?

My comfort zone is my bed-room where I unwind by sleeping.

What keeps you going?

The thought that the next day will be a better day keeps me going.

Any wish/votive that you would want God to fulfill?

I just want God to be with me, guide me all the time. There is nothing else I will need.
