July 2 will be a memorable day for all alternate lifestyle activists in India. And abroad. This was when the Delhi High Court declared that section 377 violates the right to life, liberty and equality enshrined. And they were not talking about any complicated legal stuff. This was a judgement on the law that criminalises sexual acts (including homosexual acts) between consenting adults in private.

Even a few years back, a judgement as liberal as this one would have been impossible in India. But with the waves of liberalisation and globalisation hitting Indian shores, change seems to be the order of the day. Since homosexuality and the film and entertainment industry have been linked by the media for a long time, this judgement is surely going to have some impact on the industry.

TellyChakkar spoke to some television and film celebrities about their feelings on this and we are ready for such a drastic change in our laws or not:
