It
was nothing short of a
dream come true for me
when I got the chance
of shooting a music video
with Asha Bhosale. We
have grown up listening
to her songs and I never
could even imagine that
there would be a day when
I would be shooting with
her. The video was shot
in Malshej Ghat and had
Dimple Jhangiani along
with me and Asha ji.
The video shows Dimple
and me on a road travel
and love blossoms between
us and Ashaji tries
to get us together. The
song and video got released
on September 8,on her
75th birthday.
It all
started with a call that I got from the producers of the video. Initially I thought
someone was playing a prank, otherwise why would Asha Bhosale select me for a
music video and ask her office to get in touch with me. But only after they started
discussing the details did I realise that they were serious. What made me feel
proud was the fact that Asha ji is a regular viewer of Bidaai and
only after seeing me in the show did she select me for the video. But that
was not the end of the story. There was one more hurdle to cross. Working in a
daily soap and taking two straight days off from shooting is virtually impossible
and when I expressed my problems with dates, Asha ji picked up the phone
and spoke to Rajan Shahi herself! Rajan Sir kindly obliged and gave me two days
off to shoot for the video with Asha ji. It was really a fantastic
experience. I will never forget it.
