Life has been tough for
Yuvraj
Malhotra post his brawl on the sets of Waaris. Not only
did he lose his job, but his image too took a real beating. Further, it was learnt
that CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes' Association) threatened to ban the actor
as he wasn’t a registered member. While the actor has got his CINTAA membership
card, he (allegedly) is yet to get his due from the producer of Waaris. Yuvraj
alleges, “Apparently, I learnt that my colleagues from Waaris have started
getting their dues. So, I called up the production house but thus far I haven’t
received any feedback from them. They owe me around Rs. 8 lakhs. It isn’t a small
amount so I can’t let go of it.” We tried contacting producer Smriti
Iraani and even sent her a text but there was no response. He may
not have the money, but Yuvraj is happy that he can revive his television career
after he received his CINTAA membership card. “The good thing is
that I’ve finally got my CINTAA card some ten days back. There were false reports
of me having being banned by CINTAA for ten years. All those reports have now
proved false. Besides, there was never any such threat. It usually takes just
a month to get hold this card. There’s been a delay in receiving this card but
this happened because of the strike. I’m looking forward to reviving my career,”
the actor concludes.
