Back in December, tellychakkar had reported on a new show called Hum Hindustani that was to make its way on Colors. However, things have changed since then. Firstly, the show will not come on Colors. Secondly, actors Karan Hukku and Parmeet Sethi have opted out of the show. Apparently, these actors have taken other commitments.

“This project was getting more and more delayed and I couldn’t afford to wait any longer. Thus I opted out of it. I’m currently doing two dailies – Hindi Hai Hum and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann. It doesn’t leave me with any time to take any new project,” said Hukku.

Meanwhile, Parmeet didn’t give the reason but merely agreed to having opted out of the show. The actor is said to be doing a Yash Raj film and that’s the reason why he’s not doing Hum Hindustani.

Meanwhile, co-producer and actor Mamik said, “Karan and Parmeet are no longer part of our show. Besides, this will not come on Colors. Ideally, we’d like this show to be on Imagine. We’re currently in the process of scripting .We’re hoping the shoot will begin by May.”
