Bhojpuri super star Ravi Kissen has taken over as president of Hamar TV, claimed to be the first multi-lingual 'Purabiya' news and current affairs channel in the country. So, claims the actor’s manager.

According to channel sources, the actor has assured to promote the brand, contribute his skills and expertise towards the content and programming of the channel.

“Ravi Kissen has said he will work to project the right picture of the Purabiya society and popularize the art and culture of the region, all over the world. This is very clear from the punch-line of the channel- Hamar TV...Hamar Pehchan,” said the source.

Talented people from the Purabiya region who have so far not been able to come into the limelight will be given a strong platform to showcase their skills. The channel comes in various languages like Angika, Maithili, Nagpuri, Najjhika, Magahi, Awadhi and Bagheli besides Bhojpuri as its main language. It will cater to more than 40 crore people belonging to the region and living all across the globe.
