A
new fiction show, tentatively titled Jodi
Kamaal Ki, will be going on air in
mid-March. As the name suggests, it is all
about jodis and the kamaal
that happens when opposites attract. Produced
by Playtime Creations, the show is scheduled
to go on air around March 21, and has an
ensemble cast of Chahat Khanna, Garima,
Yash Pandit, and Manish Raisinghania to
play lead roles.
The story revolves around two brothers
who are complete opposites in nature. One
is gregarious while the other is reserved.
Speaking with Tellychakkar, Chahat confirmed
that she is playing the character of Rajashree,
who is an ideal bahu. Garima plays
Avantika, who is a modern girl and quite
the opposite of Rajashree. True to the premise
of the show (opposites attract), Rajashree
gets the outgoing and modern guy while Avantika
gets involved with the quiet, shy guy.
"It's
a love story with a touch of comedy,"
says Manish.
"We begin shooting in a couple of
days - March 7 to be precise," confirmed
Chahat. "It will be aired in a prime
time slot and is and out and out comedy."
After all the teary soaps and saas-bahu
dramas, this sure sounds like a refreshing
change!
