The much publicised war between Balaji Telefilms and Star Plus is heating up further. After yanking the two landmark Balaji shows, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii off air, the channel has asked the production house to pull their socks up with regard to the performance of their current shows. If sources are to be believed, the channel is not too happy with the TRPs of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajana.

Informs a source from the production house, “Tujh Sang… has been under the scanner for quite sometime now and the channel has already served two notices to the production house regarding the falling TRPs. Kis Desh… was doing well, but considering the TRPs of other shows on the channel and on other channels in the same time-slot, it is not very overwhelming. The channel is keeping a close eye on the performance of both the shows.”

A source from Tujh Sang… informs, “Yes, the show has got warnings. Not once but twice. We are working hard to better our TRPs. In an attempt to do so, Ekta is planning to change the storyline completely. Having said this I don’t think the show will end. We have been given time till the IPL is over. If the ratings don’t improve, the show will be shifted to the afternoon slot,” adds our source.

A source from Kis Desh… informs, “The TRPs of the show have fallen and we have been warned by the channel.”

Though Harshad Chopra, lead of Kis Desh… refutes the rumours and says, “As far as I know the show is not ending. We are going steady and strong. We have reached a crucial point on the show and are all geared up to make it a success.”

We tried contacting Keertan Adhyanthaya, Star Plus’ EVP and GM, but he remained unavailable for comment.

This shape up or ship out rule is going to prove really good for audiences as they will now be given quality shows.
