MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor is on a remake spree. The TV czarina is on roll with interesting line up of daily series in her kitty for the Hindi viewers. Her upcoming shows have a common thread of remake. Her first venture is a remake of blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham on Sony TV titled Dil Hi Toh Hai, second in line is the reboot of her popular daily Kasautii Zindagi Kii, next is the spin-off of her ongoing series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and lastly, the Indian adaption of the popular fairytale Beauty and The Beast.

Now Ekta is all set to rework on one of her prestigious shows from the 'K' series. According to TellyChakkar’s exclusive piece of information, Kapoor is likely to bring the sequel of her renowned daily Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. The Indian soap opera ran for eight long years and gave the Indian TV a gem like Sakshi Tanwar. The primary character – Parvati Bhabhi, a quintessential daughter-in-law, essayed by Tanwar, was a household name and rage.

10 years later since the soap wrapped up, Ekta Kapoor, is geared up to create the same magic by bringing a second part. A source reveals, “It will pick up exactly from where it ended.” The narrative will take off from where it concluded in 2008.

TellyChakkar has also learnt that for the casting, Kapoor is getting back the original Parvati bhabhi – Sakshi Tanwar. “Initial talks have been done and Sakshi has given her nod,” a little birdie further informs. The ensemble cast is yet to be decided.

Nonetheless, this indeed is a great news for the loyal fans of Sakshi Tanwar and the show. Till date, the 45-year-old Tanwar is known for her character.

Another piece of information that we’ve gathered is that, the second installment might air on Star Bharat. Since many shows of Ekta Kapoor (Kasautii reboot, YHM’s spin off and supernatural drama) are already in pipeline for Star Plus, the makers plan to air it on Plus’ sister channel Star Bharat which is doing wonders in terms of ratings.  

The show is at nascent stage and only time will tell what is in stores.
