MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most loved shows on Star Plus of all times. The show started with narrating the tale of Akshara and Naitik and featured Hina Khan and Karan Mehra in the leading roles and later moved on to showcase the following generations with Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi in the second season as Kartik and Naira, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as Abhimanyu and Akshara and now finally Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla as Armaan and Abhira respectively.

The show has come a long way and among the many, the audience feels that the love story of Abhimanyu and Akshara was not only very captivating but it also had a lot of potential to grow. It was only recently that the writer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Utkarsh Naithani expressed his grief and disappointment over the fact that he couldn’t get to the point where Akshara’s character could be seen blossoming. He also mentioned that he always had in mind that Akshara had more of an arc as compared to Abhimanyu and that the team already knew about this. Now, fans of the show have come out in the open and have shared how much they miss Akshara and Abhimanyu’s love story and they would have loved to see a closure between them.
