Bollywood again looks to tellydom for publicity!

The latest film to seek the help of television to promote itself is the Saif-Preity starrer, Salaam Namaste, and this time its on Channel V's Freedom Express. Channel [v] VJs Archana, Juhi & Tina travelled the length & breadth of the country with one mission - to find out what the common man especially the youth think of freedom in the 21st century. This episode will be aired on 15 August. Lending their support to this special initiative were stars Saif Ali Khan & Preity Zinta, the star cast of Salaam Namaste, to salute the spirit of freedom.

Challenge straight from the UK!

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge seems to be a competition that is attracting participants from as far as London, UK. Meet Swananda, who has flown all the way from London to be part of the SRGMP Challenge. "My husband is in London, and he saw the advertisement and then I went for the auditions. When I was selected, I came to Mumbai," says this 21-year old housewife. Swananda, who has been chosen in the Jatin-Lalit gharana is very happy to be with her mentors and says that it is her dream to sing in front of them.

Batliwala goes on amidst uncertainty

Sony's Batliwala House No 43 has been subject to quite a few rumors lately. There was even speculation that the show would go off- air by mid August. However JD Majethia producer of the show clarifies, "No, the show is not going to be pulled off. We have shoots confirmed for this entire month. How far the show will go is something I can't comment on but I'm pretty sure we will complete this season at least."

A wedding that never happened!
