Bhanurekha Ganesan is almost fifty and above but her passion for acting and her dressing style can leave you far behind. She is known for her South Indian sarees and her bold red lipstick , a huge red bindi on her forehead and the til on her upper lip adds up to her glamour and beauty. The south indian beauty was born on the 10th october, 1954 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the illegitimate daughter of Gemini Ganesan and a Tamilian actress Pushpavali. She has seven sisters and one brother. The biggest controversy about her was that she was in a relationship with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bacchan. She married Mukesh Agrawal who was a businessman from Delhi in the year 1990, later he commited suicide. Now she lives in Bandra, Mumbai. She has acted in over 180 films of all genres. She appeared as a child actor in a Telugu film called Rangula Ratnam in the year 1966. She made her debut in her movie Goadalli CID 999 which was a hit in the south. In the year 1966 itself she starred in her film aanjana Safar which was later renamed as Do Shikari. She had to learn hindi because she made her debut in bollywood cinema overnight as her movie Sawan Bhadon hit heights at the box office and she became a star over night. She appeared in many bollywood films like Kahani Kismat ki, Raampur Ka Laxmana nd Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. In the year 1976, she was offered this film called Do Anjaane and she worked with Amitabh Bacchan in which she played the role of a rape victim alongside Vinod Mehra. Inspite of working for so many movies she recieved an award for her performance in this movie. She worked with Amitabh again in the movie muqqadar Ka Sikandar. She was then seen in the movie Silsila, it was however their last film together and then they were never seen together again in any other movies. In her latest movies krissh and Koi Mil Gaya she played the role of a mother to Hrithik Roshan.
