Just like his brother 'Rishi Kapoor' who is nicknamed as 'Chintu' even he is nick named as 'Dabbu'. Randhir is the eldest son of Raj kapoor. Very suprisingly the duo is seen in the movie Housefull 2 working together. They were actually named as 'Chintu' and 'Dabbu' in the film and their role's were as such where in the elder brother 'Dabbu' was shown to be more caring and calmed.So Randhir plays the role of an elder brother in real life too. His grandfather was Prithviraj Kapoor. He was married too Babita Kapoor and separated in the year 1988 due to individual differences. They have two very successful daughters: karishma and Kareena kapoor.He was born on 15th of February 1947 in Mumbai. He hails from a Punjabi- speaking family. When Rishi Kapoor was little he appeared in a song called 'Shree 420'. He assisted Lekh Tandon in Jhuk Gaya Aasman before actually going out into the industry and working there.Randhir Kapoor made his debut in acting as well as directing with the movie 'Kal Aaj Aur Kal' in the year 1971. Surprisingly, he was a little too lucky to actually work with his wife, father and grandfather in the very same movie. The film was an average success.In the movie Dharam Karam he was again seen with his father however the movie did not do too well. His movie Jawani Diwani was a hit not because of his own performance but because of Rahul Dev burman who contributed to the movie with good music.He took to producing and directing after making no moves in the bollywood industry. Therefore these are some of his last films that he took up and worked for. They were Chacha bhatija in the year 1977, Kasme Vaade in the year 1978, Pukar in the year 1983, Khazana in the year 1984. Randhir is a head of the RK studios and the studio has also become a museum which show casts 'Kapoor family' movies.
