Actor Gaurav came into limelight for being one of the contestants in Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj which was a popular talent-hunt reality show to find Bollywood's next superstar among many of the contestants who participated. He was the runner up of this show. He was seen playing the parallel lead in Kahe Naa Kahe and also essayed the role of Rohan in Zee TV's Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann.
