"The credit of getting this role goes to my looks, as it closely matches that of the character of Simran that I am doing in the serial. It's a typical Punjabi character who is colourful, energetic, extrovert and an upfront girl. She's beyond imagination, and sarcastic yet funny." The character comes up with several shades in the coming episodes, says Shireen. "There's so much in the character to play with, and I always wanted to work with Ekta."
