In June 2012 it was reported that Shobhana Desai Productions was making a pilot for Star Plus. However, later the buzz died down. But now we have learnt that the project has finally received a go ahead from the channel.

“The channel was happy with the concept but not the plot structure. Hence they asked the makers to re-work on it,” said a source.

Accordingly the makers went back to the discussion table and pressed the creative button again. All the brainstorming sessions led to some creative changes which brought a smile on the lips of the channel personnel. The project is tentatively titled Shubhli Bani Shubhlaxmi.

A source tells us, “The story is about a girl named Shubhli who is not well educated. She gets married to a qualified man who wants to divorce her on the first day of the wedlock. However, her husband’s grandfather asks him to groom the girl so that she can marry someone else. This is when his journey of making a simple, uneducated girl into an educated, today’s girl starts.”

The story takes some very interesting twist and turns from here but, it will be for the viewers to wait and watch.

The production house is also working on another show for SAB TV. And if sources are to be believed this one will have a Gujarati backdrop.

Apart from this the production house is also working on the pre-production of a Marathi film.

We tried contacting Shobhana but she remained unavailable for comment.

Looks like Shobhana Desai is all set to make her comeback on television with a bang.
