We recently brought to you an exclusive news that a new webseries is in the making.  According to information received, Late Bollywood actor Joy Mukherjee's son Sujoy Mukherjee has made a directorial venture with Nachaniya is a web series about women empowerment and how a girl stands up for her rights. This is his second directorial venture after the multiple award-winning short-film 'Ab Mujhe Udnaa Hai - Let me soar high'.

The series will launch on a new OTT platform called Tamasha.

Well, we also had earlier reported that actress Amika Shail, who is known for shows in the likes of Naagin, Baalveer Returns, and Divya-Drishti has been roped in for Trapped. Producer Manish Sharma has teamed up with Sanil Kshirsagar who helms Suhas Pictures Pvt. Ltd to produce the webseries on Red Prime.

Well, looks like Amika is on a roll as she will also be seen in Nachaniya in an integral role!

In conversation with Amika, she shared, "Sujoy is a master director and he knows what he wants - thus making the work of a good actor easier. The story of the web series is very different from the commonly told stories these days. I am grateful to God that I am getting to explore myself more and more as an actor - as this is the role of a girl from a small village who gets stuck in human trafficking. It is very different from the characters I have essayed earlier on-screen. The story gives a realistic perspective about Mumbai, the city of dreams, and the dream of every girl to become an actress. The series premieres on 'Tamasha' a fast-growing OTT platform in the country."

 "I am hoping that it gets the same love from my audiences that Gandii Baat, Laxmmi and Mirzapur 2 received," she added.
