In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Anant spoke in length about Scam 1992's success, about his character, and much more.

Speaking about the series' success, Anant said, "When we were shooting for the series we didn't get any instincts when you do something you get the gut feel. We certainly got that feeling but I think none of us including the director Hansal Mehta anticipated that it would be such a monster hit."

Further revealing the reason behind the success, the Khiladi actor said, "The whole backdrop and the subject itself is very exclusive and it has been never done before."

Anant mentioned the achievement behind the series and said, "Despite not bringing down the entire stock market language, people have understood what exactly it is being spoken about. We have taken the human aspect into consideration."

"At the end of the day, it's the real people coming to see real people so ultimately it is the real characters that matter."

The actor was quite excited when he was offered the role, Anant said, "I was extremely excited when I was offered this role. I was looking for meaty roles like this and this one virtually fell into my lap."

Speaking about how he prepped for the role in spite of not having enough pictures or videos of the character he was to play, Anant said, "I did my own little bit of research on it, I got the banking terms right so when I speak my lines, I should sound like an RBI Governor and not an actor."

Anant further said, "No videos were available but I knew and read about his character. But me being a South Indian helped me a lot."

Well, Anant definitely lived up to this real-life character like a complete pro onscreen. It is always a pleasure to watch such a talented personality to play such meaty roles.
