MUMBAI: Early in the day, we broke the news about ZEE5 bringing a new web-series titled Delhi Weds Haryana. The project was supposed to launch a daily on Zee TV however it is now being made in a web-series format.
As we reported, the series will star Roshni Sahota and Bhavesh Kumar in the lead roles (Read here: Roshni Sahota and Bhavesh Kumar to play the leads in ZEE5’s Delhi Weds Haryana).
Now, we have learnt that the project will also star actors namely Manoj Bakshi (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), Sunil Chitkara (Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola) and Shyam Lal (Dabangg).
Manoj will depict the female lead’s father and Sunil as male lead’s father while Shyam will play assistant on male lead.
Delhi Weds Haryana is an interesting concept where there will be issues between two castes in the north itself.
The web-show is produced by Niren Dabas & Sandeep Bhardwaj under their banner Famesky Productions and directed by Saurabh Sharma while the casting has been done with casting director Naren Bansal who has earlier casted for shows like CID, Shapath, Gumraah, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and others.
We hear that the shooting is scheduled in Delhi and it is soon expected to go on floors.
