MUMBAI: Masks are the new normal and there is no doubt about that.

We have been reporting about the importance of masks and how the fashion industry is now surprising all the fashionistas by introducing new patterns and designs to suit their interests. Well, if there is one force which is working day and night to protect us is the Mumbai police.

Naina Parekh, founder of EUME, has now taken an initiative to announce a fundraiser for masks which will be given to 40,000 police officers. The masks are equipped with SS-MMS filters and are reuseable upto 30 washes. It has respirators in them which are much better than the N-95 masks.

Sharing information about the same, Naina said, " These days everybody is rushing for the N-95 masks which are usually worn by the frontline warriors and medical professionals. They can be used upto 4 days and discard it.  But these masks which we have designed will last upto 30 washes and are priced at an affordable rate of Rs. 150. It is a 10 layered mask made of breathable cotton and mesh. It also has chemicals which will fight dust and bacteria. We have 7 colours and different designs, we also have kids designs coming up. They are classy and elite and we have tried not to make it too funky as people eventually get bored of it. "

" My request to one and all is not to take coronavirus lightly and it is very important to carry it along everywhere", she added.
