MUMBAI: India is a land known for it's unity in vast diversity. The lines of parity amid these differences are becoming so fine with every passing day that the areas are undergoing a mutual overlapping with the embracing of other cultures by individuals residing in particular corners of the nation.

Citizens are readily welcoming the broad-minded cosmopolitan culture which just not only reflects individual ethnicity in a totally different ethnic setup within the same country, but also imparts a sense of 'freedom of expression', 'ethnic empowerment' and also promotes 'mutual respect'. Also, respecting individual ethnicities help individuals expand knowledge on the formation and setup of those from different backgrounds. A Gujrati travelling to Maharashtra learns the local language for efficient communication while the resident Marathis learn how the Gujrati person's lifestyle and culture are unique from all and different from theirs.

A lot of exchange in the languages spoken, staple food habits and the regular garments being worn on a daily basis takes place, which undergoes gradual adaptation and alteration through the process of inclusive assimilation. Most importantly, this social process of ripple communication ensures the safety of the minority communities and the solidarity of its total cosmopolitanship.

Every Indian household's beloved sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the perfect show that promotes ethnic harmony despite taking subtle digs n a hilarious note, as maturity lies in not taking jokes seriously, especially when nobody's being targeted by any serious offence or scrutiny. The Hindi sitcom revolves around the daily lives of the residents of 'Gokuldham Society', which houses many families from different ethnic, regional as well as religional backgrounds who are well-versed with each other on the grounds of harmony and safety.

Hence, the well-balanced inter-faith, cultural and ethnic harmony and the importance laid over basic 'humanity' over anything else enhances the show's unparalleled charm.

Talking about Babitaji's character, she is a Bengali lady who is married to a Tamil scientist Dr. Iyer. Hence, the Iyer family reflects both intra-family and intra-social cosmpolitanship.

On various occasions and events that are hosted within the premises of the Gokuldham Society, Babita ji has always been a cheerleader of cultural and ethnic harmony and has herself endorsed various 'saree and ghagra looks' of different Indian ethnicities (by draping the 9-yard long fabric in different regional styles) to promote the same.

Check out her various Indian ethic looks by scrolling down below:

1. Bengali look

As a Bengali character, it's mandated to view Babita ji endorsing her own ethnicity's traditional look. Hence, in the picture above, Babita ji can be seen draping a classic Bengali saree (red-bordered white saree with golden zari-work) in the traditional Bengali-style of double-pallu on both shoulders, while the free-ended pallu is tied to the house keys.

2. Gujrati look

[[{"fid":"16021379","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"2":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":700,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"2"}}]]

Babitaji is endorsing the traditional Gujrati-styled ghagra-choli, that's embellished with hand-stitched woollen embroideries which flaunt small and circular decorative mirrors at regular intervals. The silver jewelleries add an authentic festivity vibe.

3. South-Indian look

[[{"fid":"16021389","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"3":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":700,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"3"}}]]

Herein, Babitaji is wearing a Bangalore silk saree. However, it's the traditional juhi-flower gajra which she's seen endorsing that imparts the authentic South-Indian vibe.

4. Marathi look

[[{"fid":"16021399","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"4":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":536,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"4"}}]]

Babitaji is seen draping a classic Nauvari saree in the traditional Maharashtrian way and is flaunting the same with sheer elegance.

5. Punjabi look

[[{"fid":"16021409","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"5":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":700,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"5"}}]]

Babitaji looks Lohri-ready in this salwar-patiala-churni ensemble in blue and golden.

6. Contemporary festival look

[[{"fid":"16021419","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"6":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":700,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"6"}}]]

With the embracing of the semi-fusion trends, Babitaji can be seen endorsing a gorgeous ensemble of a bright pink blouse and a multicoloured skirt-styled ghagra, which is a perfect pick for your ideal Navratri/ Navami night/ Diwali look or rather for any Indian festivity look. The entire ensemble has golden embroidery running all over it.

7. Contemporary saree-look

[[{"fid":"16021429","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false},"link_text":null,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"7":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":false,"field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":false}},"attributes":{"height":700,"width":500,"class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"7"}}]]

For attending a dinner party or any other non-festivity social event, an Indian lady chooses to endorse a saree just like Babitaji's this look, which is all about sophistication and sheer elegance.
