The latest trend is to remake South superhits into Bollywood blockbusters. The recent addition to this long list of remakes is Tevar, starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. With the movie being proclaimed the first masala offering of January, we give you five reasons to watch it...read on:

The Arjun-Sona jodi:

It's a fresh pairing that will definitely cut with youngsters as both the feisty actors are known for their audience-appeal. While there are rumours of the two dating off-screen, the makers would certainly want to cash in on that. And let's face it, they do look cool together!

Choreographed Fight Sequences:

Considering the movie is a tribute to Salman Khan, there are bound to be some Bhai-esque fight sequences and cool one liners. If that doesn't make you want to spend three hours in the movie theatre, we don't know what will.

Manoj Bajpai:

It's not always that we see the talented actor in a meaty role these days, but that could change with this movie. He is playing the main antagonist who is obsessed with Sonakshi. We know what an amazing actor he is and we are sure he will be able to pull this off with élan. Our tiny gripe is that Prakash Raj, who played the villain in the Tamil version Gilli isn't reprising his role here.

Full Masala Drama:

Bollywood fans will agree that a good masala movie is what we all need to unwind after a tiring day. It has song-dance, interesting chases, impossible love stories that always find a way in the end and of course, hero's bigger- than-life persona.

Foot-Tapping Songs:

The Superman song is already creating quite a buzz with the audiences. Be it the step, the choreography or Arjun's unabashed admiration for his real-life mentor Salman bhai, the song is on the lips of everybody. Even the Radha song is quickly rising on the charts.
