Why Shamitabh can be a ground-breaking film

Shamitabh is one of the most anticipated movies from first half of 2015. With Amitabh Bachchan and R Balki reuniting after Paa, it's going to be one helluva ground-breaking material, we feel. As the movie gears up to come out this Friday, we tell you why it's must watch. Read on:

Unique plot:

From what we have seen in the promos, we can safely assume that the plot is as unique as they come. It revolves around two immensely talented individuals, played by Big B and South superstar Dhanush, who have to rely on each other for their success. While Dhanush is a supremely gifted, but deaf and mute junior actor, Bachchan is a fading talent with a booming baritone. When the two come together, they are a riot. But who is more powerful? The actor or the voice-over-artist? That's when all hell breaks loose. No director has attempted to make anything as interesting as this film and we have our fingers firmly crossed for this one. What about you?

The Big B-Balki combo:

When they come together for 'Cheeni Kum', they set the screen on fire with their acting and directing skills. An advertising industry veteran, Balki found his true calling in Bollywood post the immense success of his debut hit. He followed it up with Paa, which had the senior Bachchan playing a special child to his real-life son! Nobody would have thought to cast Abhishek as the father and the gamble paid off. The movie was not only appreciated by the critics, but also enjoyed by the masses. With such a track record, is it of any doubt that their third venture would be equally, perhaps more, successful than the previous one.

Casting coup:

When we talk about a voice that is as melodious as its powerful, as majestic as it’s romantic and as charming as it’s angry, we are obviously looking at the legend, Amitabh Bachchan. His voice has managed to melt hearts and win audiences for decades now. So casting him in the role of a voice-over-artist is simply perfect. What's more, he is ably supported by National Award winning-actor Dhanush, who puts Big B's voice to perspective. If that was not enough, we have a debutant who's Kamal Haasan and Sarika's daughter. Akshara makes her debut opposite Dhanush and the light-eyed beauty is definitely to watch out for. Furthermore, there are various industry veterans playing cameos in this movie. From Rohit Sherty to Ekta Kapoor, get ready to be charmed by those who have always remained behind the cameras.

Unconventional stuff:

Unlike your regular Bollywood fare, Shamitabh promises to be an unconventional treat. We are sure that there won't be any unnecessary song-dance sequences and melodrama. In fact, with Balki directing it, there's going to be some very relatable and everyday incidents in the movie. Haven't you heard Big B crooning to Piddly? If that doesn't excite you, nothing will! In fact, the heroine of the movie is pretty different from Bollywood's made-up divas. And the pairing of Akshara and Dhanush simply breaks all stereotypes, isn't it?

We are super excited to watch this movie. Are you too? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
