Yashashri Masurkar

Yashashri Masurkar, is one actress, who possesses the right charm and poise to carry of any role with ease. Be it the character of a na?ve young woman or a princess in any historical drama, Yashashri has wonderfully portrayed every role of hers.

Last seen in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (Colors), Yashashri talks about films, her favourite movie scenes, Dish TV’s innovative product DishFlix and lot more. Read on…

Are you a movie buff?

Yes, completely.

What kind of movies you like to watch?

For me, the genre of the film does not really matter much. My preference about any particular film depends on the fact whether it appeals to me or not. If the content is appealing and there is any surprise element, then I love the flick.

Tell us about your favourite movie scene?

Shyam Benegal’s Mandi is one of my most favourite films and there is one particular scene in the movie where Naseer Sahab (Naseeruddin Shah) bursts out after getting drunk. That particular scene surely holds a special place in my heart.

So who are your favourite hero and heroine?

Meryl Streep is the most powerful actresses of current time I believe. Her body language, energy, the mannerism with which she delivers each of her performance, one should look up to her as a professional. On the other hand Naseer Sahab is my favourite hero and almost every film of his is really close to my heart.

What was the last movie you watched?

Manjhi- The Mountain Man.

Cinema for you is…

Passion.

You keep busy as an actor…so how do you prefer watching movies?

•          On the go- internet

•          Movie On demand

•          Rent DVDs

I often rent DVDs and watch films on the internet. I visit theaters and also check out movies on television. I am an absolute movie buff.

Are you aware about Dish TV’s latest Product- DishFlix? It’s the talking point among all movie lovers…

Though I am not aware about DishFlix, the concept is undoubtedly interesting. If such ad free services can be provided by the operators so easily, then I am sure none of the film buffs will visit theatres as it will be much easier to watch movies.

Check out Dish TV’s DishFlix, which is said to be India’s First Home Video System. Click here http://www.dishtv.in/dishflix#lead
