The socially conscious Aamir Khan had quit smoking until the habit relapsed itself again just a month prior to the release of Dhoom 3. When we met Aamir at his residence a week before the release of Dhoom 3, the actor was puffing away to glory, stick after stick, in quick succession. So much so that he even asked his Man Friday Sachin, to change the ash tray and get a fresh one. It was later revealed by the actor himself that every time a movie is about to be released he takes to smoking just to release the pressure and nervousness. The actor also admitted that he was trying hard to do away with this bad habit.

News now trickles in that Aamir’s elder son Junaid has now requested his father to kick away the cancer stick. Junaid is reportedly concerned about his father's smoking habits and wants him to kick the butt to stay healthy. Junaid who is the assistant director in the movie P.K wants Aamir to also take care of his diet regimen so that he remains in the pink of his health while shooting for P.K.

A source close to Aamir says that he has promised his son to quit smoking and has already significantly cut down on the number of cigarettes he smokes.

Well, no loving father can turn down their doting son's request, we feel.
