MUMBAI: Abhishek Bachchan is back in business with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. Abhishek returned to the silver screen after a two-year hiatus. The movie did well at the box office and received good reviews from critics.
However, did you know that Abhishek was offered Rohit Shetty’s Simmba? He was supposedly not comfortable with the role and turned it down.
Apparently, Abhishek was being considered for the role of a villain opposite Ranveer Singh, but he was apprehensive about playing a negative character. The actor supposedly told Rohit that he believes that the audience does not like seeing him play the bad guy.
Well, Abhishek’s loss proved to be Sonu Sood’s gain. After walking out of Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, Sonu was excited about being roped in for Simmba. Abhishek and Sonu share a warm friendship and have worked together in Happy New Year.
