MUMBAI: The SSR case is now been taken care by the NCB department, and we see many big names getting linked with the drug angle of the case,  and now we see De De Pyaar De actress Rakul Preet Singh’s name allegedly surfaced in the drugs case. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Rakul Singh has been summoned by the NCB. After Rakul Preet Singh’s team claims that they received no summons from the NCB, in a report, a top NCB official called out the actor and accused her of trying to mislead the agency. Shortly after, Rakul Preet accepted that the summon was with her and she will reportedly join the probe tomorrow. 

According to a report in Republic, NCB's officer KPS Malhotra reacted to the claims made by Rakul Preet Singh's team that she had not received the summons in either Mumbai or Hyderabad, until date. The NCB official said, “Her summons was issued and she was contacted through various platforms including the phone where she was not available. There has been no response so far from her.” He mentioned that the De De Pyaar De actress was issued summons and contacted through various platforms including her phone where she was not available. 

The report states that shortly after, Rakul Preet Singh asked for a day to join the probe now and accepted that summons was indeed with her. Speaking on the issue further, KPS Malhotra said, “Rakul Preet is misguiding us, not letting us know whether she is in Hyderabad or Mumbai. If she is in Mumbai then is she at H&M or Garden apartment? She moved to H&M apartment three months back She also lives or goes with her boyfriend at his house and stays there. We have served the summons to her on WhatsApp as well."

Talking about Rakul Preet Singh, the NCB officer also threatened that the agency will serve a non-bailable warrant to her. The report quoted the NCB officer saying that they think Rakul’s ‘no summons received’ claims were just an excuse as they were served to her digitally as well. He added, “Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were served a physical copy of the summons on 16/20 and digital summons were also sent. Now a non-bailable warrant (NBW) will be sought if she will come with an excuse. A second summon will be sent to her.” 

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh will now reportedly join the NCB probe tomorrow. On Thursday, it was reported that the Bollywood designer arrived at the NCB for questioning. Apart from Rakul Preet, actresses’ Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor have also been summoned by the NCB.
