Amitabh Bachchan is moved to tears as Wroclaw organizes a recitation of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Madhushala

As Wroclaw, Poland organized a recitation of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Madhushala, Amitabh Bachchan shared with his fans that he is moved to tears.

MUMBAI: It was in December last year that Amitabh Bachchan had visited Poland and he met Nobel Prize Winner Olga Tokarczuk. During his visit, Big B was bestowed with Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture- one of the most prestigious Polish awards. Amitabh Bachchan was also honoured with a Medal of the '300th Anniversary of the University of Wroclaw'. Big B’s father and legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan was honoured by the Polish community, and a sculpture depicting Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s picture was also unveiled at the Wroclaw center.

Now, as Wroclaw, Poland organized a recitation of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Madhushala, Amitabh Bachchan shared with his fans that he is moved to tears. He tweeted, “T 3601 - I am moved to tears ! Wroclaw, Poland was awarded UNESCO City of Literature, today they organised a recitation of Babuji’s Madhushala by University students on the roof of the University building. They pass the message Wroclaw is a City of Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan.”

Back in 2019, Amitabh Bachchan had also expressed his immense gratitude as the Mayor announced that Big B was made the Honorary Ambassador of the City of Wroclaw, Poland.

Back then, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted, “gratitude and grace .. they announce in Worclaw by the Mayor , to be the Hon Ambassador of the City .. honoured and humbled ..”
