MUMBAI: Ankita Lokhande has stood by former boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput's family ever since the Kai Po Che actor passed away. Though she did not attend Sushant Singh Rajput's funeral, she made sure to meet his family the next day and offer condolences as she paid them a visit to SSR's Bandra home to meet the family. She even gave out interviews revealing how it was difficult for her to accept the depression theory revolving around Sushant's death. On social media, she even raised voice to call for the CBI probe in SSR's death case. Further, Ankita shares a very good bond with Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti and often has demonstrated her love.

Recently, Ankita even dropped a sweet message on a picture of Shweta's son as he got ready for the first day of school. Sushant's nephew sweetly posed for the pictures in white shirt and shorts and Shweta Singh Kirti shared it on Instagram writing, "Bring It On! First Day of School for this little munchkin! Blessings." In the comments, Ankita wrote, "Awwwwww nirvanu. lots of blessings to u." Along with this, she even attached many hearts.

Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, the Central Bureau of Investigation has taken over the probe. It was on June 14 that Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra home. The actor is supposed to have died by suicide as he was found hanging by the ceiling fan in his apartment. It was also reported that the actor was suffering from depression for the past few months.
