Shilpa to file a defamation case against media outlets, the court hearing to be scheduled

MUMBAI: The Hungama 2 actress Shilpa Shetty has filed a defamation suit in the Bombay High Court against 29 media personnel and media houses. She has done this because of the 'false reporting & maligning her image' in a pornography case. The case is against Raj Kundra who is her husband.

The actress has cited several reports that are false and defamatory and are damaging her reputation. Shilpa is also concerned about her image and her future career.

According to the media reports the hearing is scheduled for tomorrow.

As per media records, Shilpa has demanded an unconditional apology from certain media houses, deletion of all defamatory content and compensation of Rs 25 crores.

In her application, the actress puts forth a statement that the defamatory and false and not true, reports have made her reputation bad in the public eye, including her fans, followers, brand endorsement companies, business associates and peers.

She also clearly mentions that her reputation is an inextricable part of her right to life under Article 21 of the constitution of India. She has also suggested that certain sections of the media must permanently be restrained from publishing false content about her and the damages caused by such coverage can never be compensated by money. She states her idea.

Talking about her professional life her film 'Hungama 2' helmed by Priyadarshan has released on the OTT platform the last Friday itself. Apart from Shilpa, the film also features, Meezaan Jafri, Paresh Rawal and Pranitha Subhash.

The crowd is curious to see what happens next in the Raj Kundra case.
