MUMBAI: The recent project signed by Ranbir Kapoor is opposite to Shraddha Kapoor, wherein he’ll be teaming up with director Luv Ranjan for the first time. 

The actors have already gone ahead to Noida for the shooting of the movie. 

If reports are to be believed, the unique part about this upcoming movie is going to be the pairing of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia for the portrayal of Ranbir’s on-screen parents in the movie.

Boney Kapoor recently made his acting debut in the movie AK vs AK and this would be his second one. 

According to a report, Boney Kapoor refused the role at first but on the insistence of Luv Ranjan, he agreed. The process of convincing him involved Arjun Kapoor, Janhavi Kapoor, Anshula and a lot more people. He’s said to be reporting on the sets on 11th of January to start the shooting.

“Boney was their reference point. While the filmmaker had refused the offer, Luv persisted. He asked Arjun Kapoor to convince him and the actor promptly reached out to him, and also got Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi to do the convincing. Eventually, Boney gave in.”, sources confirmed.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, wherein he will be collaborating with his real-life ladylove Alia Bhatt for the first time. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
