MUMBAI: Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is one of the much-awaited films. The film will see lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen for the first time. In fact, the duo fell in love with each other on the sets of Brahmastra. Now, according to the latest reports, Shah Rukh Khan will shoot for a cameo in the film. 

For the uninitiated, Ayan Mukerji worked as an assistant on Karan Johar’s film My Name Is Khan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Since then, Ayan is a huge Shah Rukh fan, and as per reports, the Bollywood star is all set to team up with Ayan once again for a cameo in Brahmastra. 

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh is planning to shoot for a cameo in Ranbir and Alia starrer fantasy drama. Reportedly, King Khan has already set aside dates for the shooting and will be joining Ranbir and Alia for the same. A source told the daily that Shah Rukh will play an important part in Ranbir’s journey’s narrative and his cameo will leave an impact. The report also stated that Shah Rukh will shoot for his portion before the end of this year. 

The source quoted to the daily, “It’s a guest appearance but Shah Rukh plays a pivotal role in taking Ranbir’s journey forward. He has already allotted his dates for his portions and will shoot before the year-end.” This isn’t the first time Shah Rukh and Ranbir will share screen space. In Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Shah Rukh played Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ex-husband and his role was loved. 

Brahmastra is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. It is set to hit the theatres in 2020.
