But these Bollywood celebrities have boldly broken the stereotype and have shared their experiences of surviving on their wives’ earnings only. So let’s take a look at who these actors are.
Bollywood actor, Pankaj Tripathi is a well-known face in the Hindi film industry who has made a name for himself with his unconventional roles. However, the actor struggled a lot before getting the fame he has now as he didn't get any projects for almost eight years post his marriage. In the meantime, he survived on his wife, Mridula Tripathi's earnings and did all the household chores while she would work. She started working as a school teacher to support their family. Pankaj often credits his wife for being a successful actor today.
Shah Rukh Khan
The Badshah of Bollywood, is one of the most favourite actors in the country, and even across the globe. The actor had fallen in love with Gauri Khan and the duo got married and are blessed with three kids as well. But in his initial days, Shah Rukh Khan was a struggling actor in the industry. While he was not making money, his wife, Gauri had taken the responsibility of funding the family. She is well-known for her recent entertainment stint on The Kapil Sharma Show. She fell in love with actor Parmeet Sethi, despite their huge age gap, and they decided to get married. Archana and Parmeet have been married for 30 years now, and they are proud parents to their kids, Aryamann Sethi and Ayushmaan Sethi. Although Archana is a known name in the industry, Parmeet is not so well-known. But the actor has no qualms about surviving on his wife's earnings as he believes that they are equal.
