MUMBAI: After the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed, along with common people, several Bollywood celebrities such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Anurag Kashyap have come out in the open and raised their voice and expressed their concerns toward the new act.

Even Farhan Akhtar took to his twitter handle and mentioned in a tweet that he will be joining the protest against CAA and NRC in Mumbai on 19th December, however, his tweet had landed him in a soup when an IPS officer demanded strict action against. Now a complaint against the filmmaker has been made by Hindu Sanghatan. 

Senior IPS officer Sandeep Mittal pointed out that he has broken the law and tagged Mumbai Police and the National Investigation Agency of India. Now the complaint has been filed against Farhan for posting ‘seditious Twitter post creating fear, chaos and thereby instigating, Muslim, transgender, atheists, Dalits to wage a war against the nation which may lead to anarchy and also promoting enmity between communities.'
