Dil Bechara review: Sushant Singh Rajput is the soul of this film

Dil Bechara is finally out, and here is the complete review of the film.

MUMBAI: Finally, the day has arrived. The last movie of late Chhichhore actor Sushant Singh Rajput has hit the digital platform after his unfortunate demise. Fans all over are trying to ensure that the movie gets the maximum love as a tribute to the actor. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, Dil Bechara also stars Sanjana Sanghi, who makes her acting debut, alongside Sahil Vaid, Saswata Chatterjee, and Swastika Mukherjee.

The story begins with Kizie Basu, played by Sanjana Sanghi, who is a cancer patient and is very bored with her simple life, which revolves around her mom, dad, a musician she admires, and her oxygen cylinder named Joginder. Her life changes after meeting Immanuel Rajkumar Junior aka Manny, played by Sushant, who is a happy-go-lucky person and believes in enjoying life to the fullest. He teaches Kizie to enjoy life and to fall in love.

As the story moves ahead, Kizie starts falling love with her life and with Manny. She does not want to lose him, but destiny has something else in store for them. Meanwhile, Manny and Kizie continue to live their lives to the fullest and fulfil each other's dreams.

The screenplay of the movie is a little slow and you may find a few scenes unnecessary, but most scenes will touch your heart. The direction is decent, and the cities of Jamshedpur and Paris are shot amazingly well.

Talking about acting, then this is an out-and-out Sushant film. In his last movie, the actor proved himself once again with his talent. He is the soul of the film. Sanjana Sanghi does a decent job as the thyroid cancer patient. Sahil Vaid as JP will make you laugh whenever he appears on screen. Moreover, Swastika Mukherjee as Kizie's mother has given a good performance. Saswata Chatterjee was good too but did not have much to offer.

The positive points of the movie definitely include the late Sushant Singh Rajput. This gem can make you laugh and cry with his acting skills. He is the backbone of the movie. The storytelling is beautiful, and you will surely fall in love with the story and the characters. In addition, the songs are delightful. They are situational and fit right in. Moreover, Sanjana is beautiful and a visual delight in the film.

The negatives of the movie are the slightly slow screenplay. A few portions might begin to get a bit boring, but the amazing storytelling and of course Sushant will never let you reach that point.

At the end of the movie, you will simply want to see more of Sushant, as he has successfully created magic with this one as well.

Overall, Dil Bechara is a complete family watch and should be seen for Sushant and Sanjana’s chemistry, the lovely songs, and beautiful storytelling.
