MUMBAI: Multi-starrer flick Good Newwz, which features Akshay Kumar Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani, is nearing its release. The film's songs Chandigarh Mein and Suada Khara Khara are already a hit among the viewers. Also, the trailer of the film is receiving positive responses from all corners. The film will mark the reunion of Akki and Bebo after 10 years. The duo was last seen together in Kambakkht Ishq. It also brings together Akki and Diljit Dosanjh for the first time.

During his media interaction, Diljit revealed his icebreaker moment with Akshay on the sets of Good Newwz and said that the two bonded over cricket, jokes, and funny incidents. 

The Udta Punjab star revealed that he was nervous in front of Akshay and holds a lot of love and respect for the superstar. Diljit said that he is a fan of Akshay and thinks of him as his senior. On the first day of the shoot, the four actors united to shoot a scene where Kiara Advani's character breaks wind midway through a conversation, as also shown in the trailer. Diljit recounted going back to his seat after giving his shot when Akki went up to him and initiated a fun conversation asking him when was the last time Diljit spoke and the actor had a witty reply as he said that he just spoke in his recent shot.

Despite being a Punjabi from Delhi himself, Raj Mehta was often left confused with Akshay and Diljit's jokes. He revealed that the two of them spoke in Punjabi most of the time and burst out into fits of laughter.

Good Newwz is being directed by debutant director Raj Mehta and is all set to hit the silver screens on 27th December. 

The film's story revolves around two couples with the same surname. One is elite, while the other is not. Major confusion arises when they try to conceive a baby through IVF and the sperm samples of the two men get interchanged in the lab.
