MUMBAI: Ramayan star Dipika Chikhlia is gearing up for a new project. The actress, who was last seen in the film Bala, will be seen next in Gaalib.

Taking to her social media handle, Dipika shared the trailer of the film.

The upcoming film will see the actress portraying the role of executed Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's wife. It is based on Afzal Guru's son Gaalib's struggles.

Dipika took to her Twitter handle and shared the YouTube link of Gaalib trailer. She captioned it as, “Long-awaited trailer is finally here. Please watch it :) @manojgiridirect @NikkhilPitaley @DhirajM61408582 (sic)."

Gaalib is produced by Ghanshyam Patel and directed by Manoj Giri. In addition to Dipika Chikhlia, it stars Mir Sarwar as Afzal Guru and newcomer Nikkhil Pitaley as Gaalib. Actors Anil Rastogi, Ajay Arya, Megha Joshi and Vishal Dubey are also a part of the film. The film has been shot at Bhaderwah and Prayagraj. In 2016, Afzal Guru's son, Ghalib was in the news as he was among the Class X toppers in Jammu and Kashmir. He had secured 19th rank in the J&K Board. After passing his 12th exam with 88 per cent marks, Ghalib wanted to become an IAS officer.

Gaalib is set to release on December 11.
